Rush perform at American Airlines Center - Dallas, TX | Copyright 2015 - North Texas Live! Not many bands can stay together as long as Rush have and remain consistently relevant. Celebrating four decades together, bassist Geddy Lee, guitarist Alex Lifeson, and drummer Neil Peart brought their “R40” tour to American Airlines Center in what might possibly be their last tour, according to a recent bout of interviews with Alex Lifeson. Neil Peart’s chronic tendinitis in his arms, along with shoulder issues play a factor, though Alex has stated that it doesn’t mean the end of the band; he and Geddy Lee are looking forward to returning to the studio with new material. All three members, just into their early 60’s, sounded better than ever Monday night performing songs spanning their entire 40 year career, including a few rarities not played in many years…

Set 1:
The Anarchist, Clockwork Angels, Headlong Flight / Drumbastica (mini drum solo), Far Cry, The Main Monkey Business, One Little Victory, Animate, Roll the Bones, Distant Early Warning, Subdivisions

Set 2:
Tom Sawyer, YYZ, The Spirit of Radio, Natural Science, Jacob’s Ladder, Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres Part I: Prelude, Cygnus X-1 (The Voyage Part 1 & 3 with drum solo), Closer to the Heart, Xanadu, 2112 Part I: Overture, 2112 Part II: The Temples of Syrinx, 2112 Part IV: Presentation, 2112 Part VII: Grand Finale

Encore:
Lakeside Park, Anthem, What You’re Doing, Working Man / Garden Road

If this is indeed Rush’s final tour, they are going out with a cosmic blast!
