Kings of Leon brought their ‘Mechanical Bull Tour‘ to Gexa Pavilion in Dallas last night, with help from Kongos,and Young the Giant.
Consisting of three brothers and a cousin, Kings of Leon formed in Nashville, Tennessee, but found initial success in the UK with nine Top 40 singles, and later hit the charts in the US with their 2008 release Only by the Night. Their latest release is 2013’s Mechanical Bull.
Originally known as “The Jakes”, Young the Giant, formed in 2004 in Irvine, California. Their latest album, Mind Over Matter was released in January of this year.
Another “band of brothers”, Kongos grew up in London and South Africa, but have resided Phoenix, AZ. since 1996. Their latest hit single is “Come with Me Now” is from 2012’s release, Lunatic.
